City Vocal Coach’s Singing Course

Posted on 14.06.19

We’re running something a bit special here at City Vocal Coach this summer, our first-ever singing course!

The course

You may have seen chatter about a jazz course on our social channels. Well, we’ve decided to expand this into an even bigger opportunity, an advanced singing course!

A unique opportunity, this course will give you the chance to start learning about the physiology and anatomy of the voice in order to confidently tackle those challenging songs you felt were vocally out of reach. You will also learn through secure technique how to sing using nerves as a positive channel to enable you to perform to the best of your ability.

Working under the guidance of Anton Browne and Jenny Howe, two of the finest singers and coaches around (BBC/ITV’s The Voice and BRIT School teachers), you’ll explore in detail and develop vocal techniques commonly found in advanced repertoire choices, you’ll also study the art of stagecraft and presentation, discover how to apply technique to a challenging song of your choice and learn about microphone technique in order to enhance your vocal performance.

The evening course will run for 10 weeks, every Tuesday, from 7pm to 9pm. The first class will begin on the 6thAugust. The first four weeks of the singing course will be led by Jenny Howe, with Anton Browne running the next four, and the last two weeks will be taught by both Jenny and Anton – rounding off the course!

The evening course will be based in Holy Shot, the coffee shop just above our CVC studio.
